Don't take the health of your exotic pet for granted. AHBE recommends twice yearly physical
examinations on your exotic pet. Our services include (but are not limited to):
- Wing/beak trim ($10-$20)
- Nail trim ($10-$20)
- Spay and neuter (Cost variable)
- DNA sexing ($21)
- Dental evaluation and workup
- Animal husbandry/diet evaluation
- Basic health certificate ($30)
AHBE works with local veterinarians to bring exotic pet care closer to you. Please call

VETERINARY REFERRAL-$120 (back to top)
Veterinarians or emergency facilities may refer exotic animal patients to AHBE's specialty
practice. AHBE will work closely with veterinarians and clients to develop a plan that's in the
best interests of the patient. AHBE will coordinate any follow-up visits whenever possible with
the referring veterinarian.
To use AHBE's referral service, please call (678-562-8403) first to make arrangements.
Referral forms (pdf) and any related patient information may be faxed (678-562-8403),
emailed (drtarah@atlantabirdsandexotics.com), or sent with the client.

Established Clients:
Emergency services are available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week (based upon availability) for our
established clients. Established clients have benefited fromAHBE's services at least once during
the past 12 months. If your pet has an emergency, please call AHBE (678-562-8403).
New Clients:
Welcome to our service! You or your primary care veterinarian MUST CALL FIRST to check
availability, inform us of your arrival, and provide additional information. If your pet
does not have a regular veterinarian, AHBE would be happy to serve as your pet's primary
caregiver.
New client emergency services are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Please contact your local emergency clinic for assistance at other times until a referral to AHBE
can be arranged for your exotic pet.
